PianoD is the realisation of a dream born from a passion that has accompanied me throughout my life: a passion for design, for objects, and for the stories they tell. In the neighbourhood that welcomed me in the late 1980s, between Santo Spirito and Piazza Pitti, a space devoted to Italian modernism and 20th century design was born. Here, you won’t find a selection following passing trends but furniture, lighting, and objects chosen for their authenticity, design integrity, and purity of form. Each piece, whether celebrated or not, represents a testimony to the culture of design and to Italy’s rich artistic and artisanal heritage.
Every item is carefully selected and restored so the can fit into homes, offices and accommodation facilities. My long experience in the world of fashion has helped shape the aesthetic sensibility that defines the gallery—one founded on a meticulous attention to detail, materials, and proportion.
A few years ago, I met Angelo, who came from the same professional world and shared my passion for modern antiques, art, and design.
He now works alongside me in the research, the selection, and sale of each piece, sharing the same vision that lies at the heart of PianoD’s identity.
